England Rugby Star Supports Merton Parents and Their Dining Room Experience Competition
London, England (PRWEB) May 23, 2007 -- England rugby star James Simpson Daniel will be presenting a water cooler donated by WaterCoolersDirect.com to Aragon Primary School the winner of the Merton Parents Dining Room Experience Competition on Thursday 21st June 2007.
Merton Parents for Better Food in School is a campaign set up by parents increasingly frustrated that the local authority were not listening to individual concerns about the quality of school food. Merton Parents launched The Dining Room Experience Competition to try to improve the environment in which many of Merton's children eat.
The first prize was donated by Water Coolers Direct, an internet based company who see outright purchase as the natural choice for schools who want to provide their children with access to water.
Jackie Schneider, Chair of Merton Parents, who was recently asked to speak about her Sheila McKechnie Award at 11 Downing Street said "High noise levels, dirty tables, lack of cold drinking water and long queuing times were the most popular complaints amongst school children we consulted. This competition gave school councils the opportunity to get to grips with solving some of these problems."
Aragon Primary School won the competition because they encouraged packed lunch and school dinner children to eat together and the teachers regularly sat down in the hall along side the children to eat their lunch. The judges were also impressed by the new lunchtime reservation system that allowed children to book tables for special occasions and the customer care book to record comments.
Fred Cairns Palmer the Managing Director of Water Coolers Direct said "We are recognised as being one of the first water cooler companies to take an active interest in the provision of water in schools. It's our pleasure to donate the machine to Merton Parents and make use of our contacts in English Rugby to give their campaign an extra boost. We are also pleased to release our Free School Fundraising Pack that will hopefully help other schools to provide water for their children."
Tracy Riccio (Healthy Schools Co-ordinator) -- "I am very proud of the school council this year, they are constantly working hard to help improve the school for our pupils. Winning this prize shows just how hard they have worked. The water cooler will benefit all the children in the school especially now we are entering the warmer months I am sure that everyone will appreciate this brilliant prize!"
Other winners included Beecholme Primary School who won £300 for the school council to spend on their dining room and Wimbledon Park Primary School who won £100.
The judges of the competition were: Irene Carroll the Chair of Local Authority Caterers Association, Joanne Collins the Policy and Communications Manager for the Food for Life Partnership, Diane Pilkington a journalist for the Wimbledon Guardian, Paula Sutcliff the Secretary of Merton Parents and Angus Deuchar the Vice chair of Merton Parents.

Surrey Demand for Land!
I?m sure you?ve noticed the papers read ?Surrey Booming!? or ?Vancouver Market BOOM!? or maybe ?Fraser Valley Market Is Red Hot?. Well due to increasing population and decreasing supply of land, real estate prices go up. This is a natural law of the world. Many communities have slow growth or no-growth because they cannot meet rapidly expanding needs for their community. With our government, this is not the case. Our government understands that restrictions on land availability means new development. This causes land value to go up in value in the Fraser Valley housing market. Real Estate is a commodity that the public needs. Other investment commodities are not so reliable because they don?t constitute a public need. Sometimes p...

Estate agents in Merton Park offer more than leafy suburbs
Estate agents in Merton Park offer a wealth of delightful properties that cater for quite a wide scope of budgets. The attraction of Merton Park is the fact that you are very close to the city centre and yet enjoy the benefits of leafy suburbs and clean living generally. If you purchase a property here, you will be in striking distance of two highly recognised state schools that will save quite a lot on the transport budget. There are large elegant houses with Victorian and Edwardian themes and you can still find those older cottage-type residences as the place is steeped in history.
Surrey Condominium, What Are You Buying?
When people purchase a condo as their home or investment they must consider several factors. A condominium will not suite everyone. A condo involves not only individual ownership within the unit but also ownership of the unit?s shared property or ?common property?. I?m referring to condominiums and not townhouses, mobiles homes or houses. Your unit should be individually owned in a freehold or leasehold format. Freehold generally means you own the title to the property. However, leasehold means that you don?t have any ownership rights to the land only the leasing rights. The rest of the property includes common property. Common property elements generally includes walkways, driveways, lawns and gardens, lobbies, elevators, parking a...
